Gender Pics
It's very hard to tell the difference between a male and female red panda because the both are the same color and are roughly the same size.

I created this blog especially to help readers understand endangered animals better. There are pictures and information about different endangered animals varying from bats to elephants. Every week there will be an endangered animal of the week which will give extra information on that animal we also have a weekly video, a weekly did you know fact, weekly gender pics, weekly baby pics, a weekly reminder of a new week, a RASAP post that needs to be read as soon as possible, a post that let's my readers post their suggestions for the next animal of the week, and the Home post will be posted again fully updated. We will also post "Comments From the Author" to see the authors Ideas and point of views. Sometimes when more information on website related things happen we have a "Home News" added as a post. There is different pages named according to the type of animals it is about, "I'm Big Not Bad" "Just Because I Have the Looks, Doesn't Mean I Don't Have a Heart" "I have Hooves and a Heart" "I'm a Mammal Just Like You" and "I'm a Bird not a War Plane" If you comment on posts please do not swear or use any kind of inappropriate language.
NOTE: This blog in Not all about endangered animals.

Reproduction and Life-Cycle
Kiwis' breading season starts in June (New Zealand's winter) and lasts till March. Kiwi dig a hole for the egg quite a few months before they lay it (usually before they even mate). A female kiwi lays an egg about three weeks after mating. During the 70-80 days that the baby kiwi is in the egg both the parent kiwi incubate it, then it fully incubated. It takes up to 3 days for the egg to hatch after the incubation process is finished.
When the chick hatches its eyes are open and will feed on the yolk of the egg for a few days. While it is feeding on the yolk it also eats twigs and small pebbles to help digestion when it begins to eat real food. When a chick is around 3-6 weeks old it leaves its parents' territory to find its own. Then it starts all over again.
Freaky Facts:
Kiwi females don't eat when they are pregnant because they don't have enough room in their stomach.
Kiwi eggs are nearly the size of ostrich eggs!
Kiwi use there long wobbly beaks to
dig through soil and get grubs.
A kiwi egg takes up 15-20% of the
weight of the mother carrying it. 95% of young kiwi are killed before they reach maturity.

Something that came to me a lot this week was cats have a huge impact in many things that people do. Considering that there are songs, pets, and entertainment that lean on cats. It's CRAZY!
Songs like Katy Perry's new one "Roar" and "Eye of the Tiger" (by a lot of different people) are both very popular songs that are about cats!
What's even crazier is 95.6 million people own cats in the world, that's a LOT of people! And just to let you know these are people who at LEAST have one cat as a pet.
Your probably wondering "How are cats part of people's entertainment?" well answering this could be different for everyone, but what I noticed for a majority of people it would be playing with your cute little kitten at home, going to the zoo to see the amazing big cats, circuses can have big cats performing, and sometimes for kids they play with toys that ARE cats!
So WHY? Why would people kill cats? Why do some people just NOT care? Why do people not notice the importance of cats to people?
You know what another thing that makes cats important? Learning cards. Have you ever seen letter learning cards that have a "C for Cat" on it? OK, all of this deserves a triple, all caps, bold, with three exclamation marks, crazy!
CRAZY, CRAZY, CRAZY!!!
So, NOW do you think that cats ARE important? I sure do hope so! :)
